Hi, I'm Annie!
I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I started The Prefurred Pet Nanny because I care about people and animals. I want to ensure your furry friends can thrive in their own home whether you're away on vacation or simply have a busy workday.
My journey to become a pet nanny began when I dedicated myself to social work. I've seen firsthand how animals can be a source of healing and companionship, especially for people overcoming trauma. This wonderful relationship can work both ways, too! Pets can heal through their relationships with their owners, just as much as people. Sometimes it can be hard to know who rescued whom!
I spent years working in the corporate world but I didn't feel I was making the impact I needed to. I felt a deep calling to serve people and their pets directly. I decided to combine my passion for helping others with my love for animals, and so I launched The Prefurred Pet Nanny.
Many pets experience stress and get anxious when they have to spend the night in an unfamiliar environment like a kennel. Some of the other pets may not be too friendly, even if the accommodations are nice. Some pets and their owners have specific needs and preferences that cannot be fulfilled by a kennel. That's why I offer a personalized service that places the pet and its needs first.
My clients appreciate the peace of mind that comes from knowing their pets are cared for by someone trustworthy. I have extensive training in pet first aid as well as leash training for dogs. I want to keep your pet safe and engaged while you're away. The Prefurred Pet Nanny is ideal for people who have had less than ideal experiences with third-party apps, where quality pet care isn't always consistent.
